The Osbourne Family’s First Christmas Without Ozzy Osbourne
The Osbourne family recently gathered for their first Christmas celebration since the passing of their beloved patriarch, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne. The festive occasion, marked by matching plaid pajamas and heartwarming shared moments, offered a glimpse into how the extended clan is navigating their grief while honoring the enduring legacy of the “Prince of Darkness.”
A Unified Front During a Poignant Holiday
On Thursday, December 25, 41-year-old Kelly Osbourne took to Instagram to share a series of touching photographs. The images captured the large Osbourne family, estimated to include over a dozen members, assembled for a group portrait. Adorned in festive, matching plaid sleepwear, the family showcased both smiles and playful funny faces, symbolizing their unity during a poignant holiday season.

Among those pictured were Kelly herself, her infant son Sidney, and her fiancé, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson. Also present were matriarch Sharon Osbourne, 73, and Kelly’s brother Louis, alongside his wife Louise and their children, Elijah and Maia. The photos served as a testament to the strong bonds that tie the family together, even in the absence of their formidable leader.

Remembering the Prince of Darkness
Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, died on July 22 at the age of 76. His passing left a significant void in the world of music and, more intimately, within his sprawling family. Ozzy was a father to six children and a grandfather to ten, with an eleventh grandchild on the way. His family tree began with his first wife, Thelma Riley, whom he was married to from 1971 to 1982. With Thelma, he welcomed Jessica and Louis, and also adopted her son, Elliot. Later, he became a proud grandfather to Jessica’s children, Isabelle, Kitty, and Harry, and Louis’s children, Elijah and Maia.
In 1982, Ozzy married his then-manager, Sharon, and together they had three more children: daughters Aimee and Kelly, and son Jack. Jack Osbourne is a father to four children – Pearl, Andy, Minnie, and Maple – and is expecting another with his wife, Aree Gearhart. Kelly, meanwhile, is mother to her son, Sidney.

Heartfelt Tributes and Enduring Legacy
The family has been openly candid about their profound loss. Just weeks before his death, on July 5, Ozzy had made a much-anticipated return to the stage for Black Sabbath’s “Back to the Beginning farewell concert,” a powerful final performance for fans worldwide. As December 3, what would have been Ozzy’s 77th birthday, approached, both Sharon and Kelly shared heartfelt tributes to the rocker. Sharon posted an Instagram Reel featuring a compilation of fan tributes and cherished photos of her and Ozzy, captioned with a poignant promise: “My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side.” Kelly also shared a moving Instagram Reel of her father laughing, writing over the video clips, “miss Ozzy’s smile,” and adding, “I promise to never stop smiling!”

The spirit of Ozzy was palpably present throughout the Christmas celebrations. Kelly’s Instagram Stories also featured endearing video footage of her 3-year-old son Sidney dancing to festive music and eagerly opening presents. Another poignant shared image showed a memorial display reading “Ozzy f—— Osbourne,” a tribute first captured by the lake at his home after his funeral. This holiday gathering underscored not just the family’s grief, but also their collective resilience and their unwavering commitment to celebrating the life and enduring spirit of a man who touched millions globally, and who remains the cherished patriarch of the Osbourne family.
