Kylie Jenner’s Vision: Stormi Webster to Inherit Beauty Empire
Reality television icon and beauty mogul Kylie Jenner, 28, has unveiled her ambitious long-term plans for Kylie Cosmetics, expressing a fervent desire for her seven-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster, to eventually take the helm of the burgeoning beauty empire. This revelation came during a candid interview with Beauty Inc, published on September 18th, where Jenner articulated her dream of establishing a lasting legacy brand.
Launched in 2015 with just a handful of lip kits, Kylie Cosmetics rapidly transcended its humble beginnings to become a global phenomenon. Today, the brand boasts impressive net sales reportedly around the $350 million mark, solidifying Jenner’s position as a formidable force in the competitive beauty industry. “After 10 years, I’m just still so excited to create,” Jenner shared with Beauty Inc, underscoring her enduring passion for the brand. “I would love for this to be a legacy brand, and I’m working hard every day to set up that future.”
The notion of Stormi, who is now seven, stepping into such a significant role isn’t as far-fetched as it might seem. Jenner frequently documents her daughter’s inherent interest in the world of beauty and fashion, offering glimpses into Stormi’s playful explorations. According to The Kardashians star, Stormi “loves to play with makeup” and enjoys “shopping” in her mother’s extensive glam room. These charming moments have often been shared with millions of followers on social media platforms like TikTok, including recent makeup tutorials featuring Kylie Cosmetics products and “get-ready-with-me” videos filmed during family vacations in Greece.
Beyond makeup, Stormi is also being immersed in the high-stakes world of fashion. In January, the mother-daughter duo made headlines at Paris Fashion Week, attending the prestigious Valentino Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2024 show in coordinating black dresses, complete with boas and chic sunglasses.
Jenner, who also shares three-year-old son Aire with ex Travis Scott, reflected on her journey into early motherhood in a 2024 interview with British Vogue. “I was 19 when I got pregnant, 20 when I had her,” she recalled of Stormi’s birth, describing the experience as “wild.” She admitted that looking back, she extends “more empathy and grace” to her younger self. Despite her family’s assurances that she “aren’t that young” due to her decade-long career in the public eye, Jenner acknowledged, “It didn’t hit me [straight away]. But it was a huge life change.”
As Kylie Cosmetics continues to innovate and expand, Jenner’s vision for a familial succession adds a compelling narrative to her entrepreneurial journey. With Stormi already displaying a keen interest in her mother’s domain, the potential for a new generation to guide the $350 million beauty behemoth is becoming an increasingly tangible reality, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated transitions in the celebrity business world.
