The Duke recently appeared in a powerful new video for UNAIDS, screened at the United Nations’ global gathering in September 2025. The video implored world leaders and the public to maintain — and increase — financial support for HIV prevention and treatment programs. “Without urgent action, we will slip backwards,” Harry declared in the film, highlighting that “drastic cuts to HIV prevention and treatment programs” are already underway.

The consequences of inaction are stark. Charlize Theron underscored UNAIDS’s dire projections, stating that if funding is not immediately restored, an estimated 4.2 million preventable deaths could occur by 2029.
