The revelation came during a candid interview with LADbible, leaving 56-year-old Aniston “dumbfounded” after nearly three decades of friendship with Witherspoon, 49.
The Middle Name Revelation
The humorous exchange began when Witherspoon challenged Aniston to guess her middle name from a selection of three. After an incorrect guess, the Legally Blonde star divulged, “It’s Jeanne. That’s confusing. I’m Laura Jeanne.” A bewildered Aniston repeated, “Laura Jeanne? Who’s Laura? Who the hell’s Laura?” as the surprising truth settled in. Witherspoon then clarified that “Reese”, the name she’s known globally by, is actually her mother’s maiden name and her second middle name, making her full birth name Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon. Despite the shocking news, Aniston playfully declared, “I’m not calling you that from now on! Come on, Laura Jeanne.”
