NEW YORK — Amazon has unveiled its comprehensive broadcast schedule for the inaugural NBA Cup, confirming that its streaming service, Prime Video, will be the exclusive home for 17 of the tournament’s most anticipated matchups, including the highly coveted championship game. The announcement comes as the NBA officially released the full schedule for its groundbreaking in-season competition, designed to inject new excitement and competitive drama into the early part of the regular season.
Prime Video’s Extensive Coverage
Prime Video’s robust coverage will encompass 10 crucial NBA Cup group stage games, leading into the decisive knockout rounds. Basketball fans can look forward to “NBA on Prime Cup Nights,” a dedicated programming block featuring five consecutive weeks of compelling group play doubleheaders. This extensive slate kicks off on Tuesday, October 31, with a marquee showdown between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers, followed by the Memphis Grizzlies hosting the Los Angeles Lakers.

Beyond Amazon’s significant commitment, the remaining 50 group stage games of the 60-game tournament will be shared across traditional broadcast partners ESPN, NBC, and the league’s subscription service, NBA League Pass. Notable matchups on these networks include:
- November 25 (NBC): A doubleheader featuring the Philadelphia 76ers against the Orlando Magic, and an exciting Los Angeles derby as the Clippers visit the Lakers.
- November 26 (ESPN): Three group games are scheduled, with the Detroit Pistons visiting the Boston Celtics. Additionally, the Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Golden State Warriors will take on the Houston Rockets.
This announcement follows the earlier release of the NBA’s opening night, Christmas Day, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day game schedules. The league is set to unveil the complete regular season schedule, comprising 80 of each team’s 82 games, on Thursday. The remaining two games for each franchise will be determined in December, based on their performance and standings within the inaugural NBA Cup.
