Pop Superstar Harry Styles Achieves Sub-3-Hour Marathon Milestone at Berlin

Harry Styles Conquers Berlin Marathon with Sub-3-Hour Finish

Berlin, Germany – Global pop sensation and three-time Grammy winner Harry Styles, 31, has once again proven his formidable athleticism, crossing the finish line of the prestigious 2025 Berlin Marathon on Sunday, September 21, with an astonishing personal best time of 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 13 seconds. This impressive feat places the “Watermelon Sugar” singer firmly within the highly respected sub-3-hour marathon club, a significant achievement for any runner, let alone a celebrity juggling a demanding schedule.

Styles’ performance in the German capital marked an average pace of approximately 6 minutes and 50 seconds per mile over the challenging 26.2-mile (42.195-kilometer) course. Demonstrating seasoned discipline, his race strategy featured remarkably even splits: he completed the first half in 1 hour, 29 minutes, and 8 seconds, followed by a second half of 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 6 seconds. He was one of a massive field of 80,000 participants who descended upon Berlin for one of the world’s most celebrated running events.

The Berlin Marathon is renowned globally as one of the seven Abbott World Marathon Majors and is particularly famous for its flat and fast course, which has historically yielded eight men’s and five women’s marathon world records. Styles navigated the historic route, cruising past iconic German landmarks suchs as the Reichstag building (German parliament), the towering Victory Column, the bustling Potsdamer Platz, and finally, under the majestic Brandenburg Gate.

True to his flamboyant style, Styles embraced a vibrant, multicolored running ensemble for the race, donning a striking blue top, black shorts, and eye-catching vibrant pink sneakers. His presence did not go unnoticed, even among elite athletes. Paralympic gold medalist Richard Whitehead shared a jovial Instagram post featuring himself and Styles, playfully captioning it: “2.58 in Berlin with my mate!! Anyone know him!! 😂.”

This monumental run in Berlin follows Styles’ earlier participation in another Abbott World Marathon Major this year: the 2025 Tokyo Marathon in March. In Japan, the artist showcased his burgeoning endurance by completing the race in under three-and-a-half hours, surpassing more than 20,000 fellow runners. Social media was abuzz then with videos of Styles, clad in all-black running gear and bright-yellow Nike road racers, displaying a smooth stride and acknowledging cheering fans.

Styles’ dedication to distance running highlights a growing trend among public figures to embrace the ultimate endurance challenge. He joins a notable roster of celebrities who have tackled marathons, including actor Colin Farrell, who finished the 2021 Brisbane Marathon in 3:53:14, and actresses Jennifer Connelly and Chelsea Clinton, who both completed the 2024 New York City Marathon with times of 3:45:47 and 3:45:51, respectively, as reported by Runner’s World.

With two major marathons under his belt in 2025, Harry Styles is not just a musical icon but also an inspiring example of athletic commitment, continually pushing his boundaries and demonstrating that true passion knows no single stage.
