Teen Suspects Apprehended in Orange County, Linked to Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz Home Burglary Amid Rising Celebrity Thefts

Two 18-year-olds, Jaquory Arman Watson and Damari Zair Charles, taken into custody for an unrelated first-degree burglary, are now under investigation for the late June break-in at the actor’s mansion. A third suspect remains unidentified.

Los Angeles, CA – Over a month after Hollywood icon Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz residence was ransacked in a late-night burglary, two 18-year-old men have been arrested and are now being eyed by authorities in connection with the high-profile crime. Jaquory Arman Watson and Damari Zair Charles were apprehended on Monday, August 11, 2025, in Orange County, California, on charges of first-degree burglary, though their initial arrest stemmed from an alleged separate incident that occurred on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

According to Orange County court records obtained by PEOPLE, both Watson and Charles are being held without bail. They face a sentencing enhancement for allegedly committing the Orange County burglary “in concert with another person,” a legal distinction that could significantly impact their potential prison time. If found guilty of the Orange County charges, the pair could each face up to six years in state prison. Authorities indicate that charges directly related to the Brad Pitt burglary may be filed against them in the coming days.

The brazen break-in at Pitt’s sprawling Los Angeles estate, located in the exclusive Los Feliz neighborhood, took place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m. local time. Law enforcement officials from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) revealed that the suspects gained entry by “breaking into the residence via the front window.” Once inside, the perpetrators allegedly “ransacked the location” before making off with an unspecified quantity of “miscellaneous property.” Fortunately, the 61-year-old Academy Award-winning actor was not present at his home during the time of the alleged invasion, narrowly avoiding a direct confrontation. While Watson and Charles have been identified and detained, police continue their search for a third individual believed to be involved in the Pitt burglary, who has yet to be publicly named.

This incident at Brad Pitt’s home is not an isolated event but rather part of a concerning wave of celebrity residential burglaries sweeping across Southern California in 2025. The trend highlights a troubling vulnerability among high-profile residents. Prior to Pitt’s ordeal, on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2025, the Los Angeles residence of country music superstar Keith Urban and acclaimed actress Nicole Kidman was also targeted. Reports from NBC News, ABC News, and TMZ indicated that burglars smashed a glass door or window to enter their home, proceeding to ransack the property before fleeing.

The string of attempted and successful invasions continued after the Pitt burglary. On July 30, 2025, an attempted burglary was reported at the Hollywood Hills home of Los Angeles Dodgers pitching sensation Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Furthermore, in what appears to be part of an ongoing pattern, the Los Angeles home of beloved actors Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson was burglarized on August 5, 2024, signaling that this criminal trend has been escalating for at least a year.

As investigations proceed, law enforcement agencies are working to determine the full extent of the organized criminal activity impacting the region’s celebrity community, aiming to bring all responsible parties to justice and enhance security measures for residents.
