A Cappella Superstars Redefine Iconic Jingle and Curate Festive Jewelry Collection
As the holiday season of 2025 twinkles with anticipation, Grammy-winning a cappella sensation Pentatonix has joined forces with celebrated retailer Kay Jewelers for an exclusive holiday campaign, infusing the festive period with their signature vocal magic and a dazzling array of jewelry. At the heart of this collaboration is a reimagined version of Kay Jewelers’ beloved and instantly recognizable jingle, “Every kiss begins with KAY,” alongside a specially curated gift collection designed to make spirits bright.

Kirstin Maldonado, the 33-year-old co-founder of Pentatonix, alongside her bandmates Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee, shared her excitement with PEOPLE. “Everyone knows and can sing the iconic ‘Every kiss begins with KAY’ line. I have known it since I was a little kid watching Sesame Street, so it’s incredible to be partnering with the brand,” Maldonado revealed, underscoring the deep-seated cultural impact of the jingle. The group’s unique rendition elevates the classic tune, with Maldonado explaining, “we imbued our edition of the track with what we do best: adding and creating beats, lines and moments that at the end come together in harmony. It was super fun to put our spin on such a classic.”

The “Pentatonix Gift Curation”: A Collection for Every Loved One
The “Pentatonix gift curation” offers a diverse selection of pieces, catering to both men and women, ensuring there’s a perfect gift for every loved one. The collection spans from elegant everyday necklaces and sophisticated watches to exquisite diamond engagement rings. Maldonado expressed a particular fondness for the diamond tennis bracelets within the collection, noting, “One is super classic, and the other one has really cool shapes and texture.” Her personal connection to Kay Jewelers traces back years, recalling, “I was gifted a very cute and pretty sapphire ring from KAY when I was probably 20 or so, and I loved it so much. Wore it every day.” When it comes to selecting jewelry for others, Maldonado advises a thoughtful approach: “picking out something unique for an element of surprise while equally guiding a present on her loved one’s personality, that way you’ll know if they’ll want something classic and simple or something a little bolder.”
“Christmas in the City Tour”: Glamour and Holiday Cheer
Just before Christmas, the vocal quintet concluded their month-long “Christmas in the City Tour,” a journey that took them from West Valley City, Utah, to Fort Worth, Texas. On stage, Maldonado dazzled audiences with “Old Hollywood glamour with a ‘white Christmas’ twist” costumes, a first for the group’s holiday tours. She collaborated with stylist Candice Lambert McAndrews and designer Garo Sparo, who “both created magic! It was all my Moulin Rouge showgirl fantasies come true.”
The festive spirit wasn’t confined to the stage. Maldonado painted a picture of holiday cheer on the road, highlighting baritone Scott Hoying’s dedication to holiday traditions, including setting up a Christmas tree in his room. Maldonado, a mother of two, also ensures the tour bus is adorned with personalized Christmas stockings for every member. She reflected on the unique experience of celebrating the holidays across various cities with her children, daughter Elliana, 3, and son Theo, who was born on March 2, 2025. Despite the inherent stresses of traveling with young ones, she finds it “very magical to celebrate Christmas in different cities and see how they celebrate.” With the tour now complete, Maldonado looks forward to cherished family traditions, particularly baking with Elliana, rekindling memories of her own childhood holiday baking experiences.
This partnership not only highlights Pentatonix’s versatile artistry but also brings a renewed sense of festive joy and personal connection to the act of giving through Kay Jewelers, perfectly timed for the most wonderful time of the year.
